After Hours Care
Welcome to the Torrens Valley Christian School Out of School Hours Care Program. We aim to provide a safe, enjoyable, relaxed environment where students can grow to their full potential in a Christian environment. We work together with parents, assisting those who require childcare and ensuring they are happy with the service we provide.

The program is for children aged 5 - 12 years.
The hours are 3.00pm—6.00pm on school days and 12.30pm - 6.00pm on the last day of each term
Program
The program includes activities like art, craft, DVD’s, outdoor games and homework.
All children are provided with an afternoon snack on arrival after school. These snacks include such items as sandwiches, fruit, savoury biscuits and water.
Parents are responsible for informing staff via enrolment forms of any relevant medical history or allergies. We follow the school’s Sun Smart Policy with regards to the wearing of hats outdoors. We also follow the school’s Nut Free Policy and procedure for anaphylaxis.
OH&S staff will record all accidents in an accident report book. In the event of a serious accident, parents will be contacted immediately. A first aid kit is kept on site.
Behaviour Code
The Torrens Valley Christian School Behaviour Improvement Program for students applies to all students during After Hours Care.
All children must be signed in/out by a parent or guardian when arriving at Before School Care or leaving the school premises from After School Care. We meet at the under cover area and walk to the classroom located in the senior school building - room 7 (located in the timber building at the front of the school). Our play areas are the classroom, under cover areas, basketball courts, playground and the oval.

The service retains the right to charge a late fee of $1 per minute for the late collection of a child after 6pm.
Accounts will be issued and prompt payment would be appreciated. If you are experiencing difficulties paying your account or have any account queries please speak with our Accountant, in the Finance Office on 8265 2077.
Bookings
Please note that bookings are essential. Without a prior booking we cannot accept your children. Families who have not used our service before will need to complete an enrolment form available at the school office before care can be given.
Bookings can be made on a permanent or casual basis by contacting the school office. Early notification of bookings and cancellations when possible would be appreciated but can be made on the day any time until 3:15pm.
We will be focusing on self worth, social skills and respect for our environment. While in our care your child will be encouraged to be honest, communicate openly, respect other people and our environment, be accepting, be self confident and responsible. Most importantly your child will be encouraged to enjoy themselves.
