New Principal for TVCS

Dear Parents

As previously announced, Nigel Bennett   is leaving our school after nine years of outstanding leadership as Principal at the end of this year.  In seeking a replacement for Nigel, the Board has relied on prayer and God's wisdom.  A very extensive recruitment and interview process has now been finalised.  On behalf of the Board I am delighted to announce that Mrs Julie Prattis has been appointed as our new Principal to commence at TVCS in January, 2013.

Julie will come to TVCS from Trinity Christian School, Canberra.  Julie has a background of 30 years in education, 22 years in Christian schooling and 17 years in leadership.   Julie's current role at Trinity Christian School is an executive leadership position as Head of Junior Section.  In that position Julie has had direct executive responsibility of 500 students and as part of the senior executive team a direct role in the development and implementation of whole school policy with an enrolment of 1200 students R-12 and a staff of 120.

Julie loves the Lord Jesus and has served in many ministry areas with her church and Gideons International. Julie has now stepped forward to follow God's call on her life at TVCS.  Julie has the desire to be God's person, in God's place at God's time and to serve Him in His strength and godly wisdom. Julie has asked that we pray with her that all will be done to God's glory and the advancement of His Kingdom.  Julie is also praying for us as a school community as we farewell Nigel and as we undertake to implement a change in leadership next year.

Julie will be moving to Adelaide with her husband John and we pray for them as they make that move.   Thank you for your prayers and support which has been very much appreciated by the members of the Board.
