At Torrens Valley Christian School we aim to provide distinctly Christ-centred education for Christian families in an environment of RESPECT, HONESTY and SERVICE.

With an excellent academic reputation, we are committed to providing high quality teaching and learning in a nurturing, caring and stimulating environment for approximately 600 students from Reception to Year 12.

Commencing in 1980, Torrens Valley is a non-denominational, co-educational school in the north-eastern suburbs of Adelaide. Our vision is to nurture students in a Christ centred learning environment and allow them to develop their full God-given potential, academically, creatively, personally, physically, morally and spiritually.

At Torrens Valley, we strive to help our students understand the world from a Biblical perspective and to prepare them to make a positive contribution to society. We seek to provide a safe, encouraging, welcoming environment where students are given the opportunity to exercise their giftings and learn in a situation where they feel loved and nurtured. Our qualified, dedicated and experienced staff all seek to bring out the best in their students and to prepare them for their chosen vocation, to be able to make a difference in the world and follow God’s calling on their life.

The school was founded by a group of local Christian parents who had a vision for a nurturing Christian school community, firmly rooted in biblical truths and grounded on the Word of God. Partnership with parents is integral to the school’s philosophy where the responsibility for the education and Christian nurture of children is seen as an extension of the home. Parents are actively encouraged to be involved in the Parent Association.
