Student Leave

NEW REGULATIONS FOR STUDENTS TAKING LEAVE FROM SCHOOL
New regulations have come into place regarding students taking leave from school. Parents need to notify the school in writing, addressed to the Principal, of any leave a student will be taking except for sick leave or leave taken as a school delegate, eg. on a sports team. Class or Care Group teachers may still be notified of sick leave.

Leave for less than 12 months for students aged 6 years to 17 years
A form called “Application for Exemption: Form A” will be required to be completed and lodged with your letter. The Principal, Mr Bennett will be responsible for approval of the leave.

Leave for more than 12 months for students aged 6 years to 16 years
A form called “Application for Exemption: Form A” will be required to be completed and lodged with your letter. The Principal, Mr Bennett will forward these forms to DECS for approval and inform you when it has been approved.

Leave for more than 12 months for students aged 16 years to 17 years
A form called “Application for Exemption: Form B” is required to be completed and lodged with your letter for leave applications of more than one month for children who are aged between 16 and 17 years of age.
