School Procedures
Absentees
When a student is absent parents/caregivers are asked to phone the school before 9.30 am on that day, and to follow up with a written note in the diary. As part of the school's duty of care the Office staff will phone if this communication does not occur. It is expected that parents/caregivers will be careful in this matter, for the safety of students.
Dismissal Times:
- Years Reception - 2: 3.05 p.m.
- Years 3 - Year 6: 3.15 p.m.
- Years 7 - 12: 3.30 p.m.
Camping Program
The school provides a range of camping experiences from Years 7 to 12. These are compulsory. Camps vary in nature each year to meet a range of learning goals. Students are encouraged to develop self-reliance as well as the ability to work in groups. The Year 7, 8 and 9 camps are linked to the Core Studies themes, providing valuable out of school learning experiences.
Diaries
Diaries are to be signed each week by parents, and homework/revision entered each night. Diaries should also contain the student's Lesson Timetable and Homework Timetable. Diaries are to be kept with the students AT ALL TIMES. Parent's signatures are checked each Monday morning.
Student Movement Record
When leaving class for any reason (e.g. going to toilet, library, doing an errand for a teacher) students must seek permission from their teacher. This must be recorded in the Student Movement Record at the back of this diary, and the diary must be carried by the student when leaving class.
Exams, Assessments and Reports
All students are continuously assessed. Student Progress Meetings with parents are held in Term 1 and Term 3 but a student's progress may be discussed with staff at any time. In the Secondary School, examinations will be held in some subjects at the end of Semesters 1 and 2. Summative reporting occurs at the end of Semester One (Term 2) and Semester Two (Term 4). An Interim Report is completed at the end of Term 1 and Term 3.

Late Slips - Middle and Senior School
If a student arrives late at school (from 8.55 am) they must report to the office where a late slip is issued. They must then take this to class and to their Caregroup teacher who will adjust attendance on the roll accordingly.
Leaving School During School Hours
All students who leave school during school hours must report to the Front Office and sign the Off Campus Record Book kept at the Front Desk. Parents also need to write a note in the school diary for the student to show the Care Group or Class teacher. Students who arrive late to or back at school following an appointment also need to sign in using the Off Campus Record Book.
Lockers
All secondary students are issued lockers and combination locks. Students may use their lockers before school, at recess and lunchtime, and after school. At other times lockers must be kept locked. If students lose or damage combination locks, they will be required to pay the replacement cost.
Newsletters
Regular communication and information sharing for the school community is through the weekly Newsletter. This is issued on Wednesday afternoons (Primary and Middle School) and Thursdays (Senior School) to the youngest student in each family. Please acknowledge its receipt by annotating the Student Diary. The newsletters can also be downloaded from thise site.
Vertical Care Groups
Students in Years 7, 8, and 9 and in Years 10, 11 and 12, are placed in vertically grouped care groups for administration and pastoral care purposes. Groups meet each morning for roll call, devotions and daily notices and for dismissal in the afternoon. One/two lessons per week are given for extended care group activities where issues such as study skills, time management and relationship building are discussed. Assemblies are also conducted at these times.
