The TVCS Association

 WHAT IS THE ASSOCIATION?

The name of the Association is “The Torrens Valley Association for Christian Education Inc.”
 
The  Association’s objective is to establish and maintain a school to provide Christian Education for children based on the principles of the Word of God.

The Association is responsible for the continuing existence of Torrens Valley Christian School.

It is made up of Christian parents and other likeminded Christian people who believe that education is not neutral.

Association members believe that the school should be an extension of the home and must therefore promote a Christian world life view.

The Association elects the Board of directors from its ranks to govern the school.

The objectives of the Association and the principles by which it is guided are found in the Educational Creed.

The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, and the knowledge of the Holy One is insight.
Proverbs 9:10.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES AS AN ASSOCIATION MEMBER

  • To promise to pray for the school.
  • Attend, contribute and vote at Association meetings and other Association Activities.
  • Work for the welfare of the School and the Association.
  • Financially support the Association through Membership fees.

 

HOW TO BECOME AN ASSOCIATION MEMBERS

  • Be an active and committed Christian.
  • Agree with the Constitution and the Educational Creed of the Association.
  • Apply for membership through the school office.
  • Be interviewed by a Board / existing association member, who will then take that recommendation to the Board for approval.

 

BENEFITS OF ASSOCIATION MEMBERSHIP

  • To gain a better understanding of Christian education.
  • To be more involved in your children’s education.
  • To be part of a group of parents who have input into major school projects building programs, school policies and curriculum.
  • To be part of an organization where you can share your ideas and opinions with other Christian parents.
  • Eligible to attend and vote at all Association meetings which are held at least 3 to 4 times per year.
  • Vote to elect the School Board.
  • Eligible to become a Board member.
