Our Playgroup provides a place for future students and their parents/caregivers to begin their journey and partnership with our school. It provides a platform for them to become familiar with the school, and to experience its unique atmosphere. Importantly, Playgroup helps to prepare preschool-aged children for the Junior Primary.
To provide an environment of respect, honesty, service, play, imagination and wonder at God’s world.
To provide a wide variety of structured play-based activities and opportunities for children to practise and develop appropriate early learning skills and knowledge.
To help children develop physically, emotionally, spiritually, cognitively, creatively and socially.
To provide opportunities for parents/caregivers to connect, share and support each other.
To introduce children and families to school grounds, staff, other school families and facilities.
A cost of $2 per family per week is paid to help cover costs such as craft materials, purchasing new equipment, tea and coffee supplies, soap, wipes, tissues, etc. Alternatively, $15 can be paid per term.
Playgroup meets weekly, during school terms. A flexible structure is provided during each session including time for indoor and outdoor play, craft, conversation, snack time, tea and coffee, singing and stories.
Some school events, such as Book Week, are included in the Playgroup program which provides further connection for children with older siblings already at school and an introduction to other regular events celebrated at school.
