Torrens Valley Christian School is building for the future.
And what a strong future we have!
Over the past few years, God has blessed us in being able to build a firm financial platform for redeveloping our facilities and we have a 3-5 year plan to move forward strongly into building and redevelopment of our site.
Future Buildings ….
In 2019, the school engaged an architectural firm to work with the Board and Executive team to develop a Facilities Master Plan for the redevelopment of the site. The purpose of this Plan was to extend and enhance learning opportunities for students, Reception to Year 12, in line with long-term sustainability and growth for the school.
I am pleased to let you know that we are currently in the process of implementing Stage 1 of the Master Plan. This exciting development looks to the continued provision of modern facilities to support student learning now and into the future with planning focussed on redevelopment of the carpark and the building of a new Primary School facility.
Carpark Redevelopment. We are excited to announce that work on the redevelopment of the carpark commenced last Monday! This development will enhance safety for vehicles and pedestrians and provide a new strong community identity and street presence. Pedestrian access will be separated from vehicle access and a new vehicle entry point will maximise access to the property and the removal of traffic off Grand Junction Road. This redevelopment will significantly help to create a safe and efficient flow of traffic to benefit all our community.
Primary School Redevelopment. Planning is well underway for the development of a new Primary school building. The new design will feature classroom and specialist rooms including designated areas for STEM, Educational support, art and craft lessons, science and HASS investigations, special interest focus groups, student wellbeing programs and collaborative work spaces. The flexible learning spaces will provide opportunities to share teaching and learning experiences, create spaces for large groups, small groups and individual learning, allow indoor and outdoor learning recognising the unique learning needs and capacities of Primary aged children.
Building Futures….
We have strong foundations on which to build these new developments! They are the foundations built on the unchangeable, dependable, Sovereign promises of God as revealed to us in His Word… and heritage laid down for us by our forefathers, our Board and Association.
2022 promises to be an exciting year and I look forward to partnering with you, as parents, to see our young people understand the HOPE they have in Christ, now and in the FUTURE!
Thank you, Lord for your hand upon our school! We humbly acknowledge your goodness to us as a community and thank you for your abundant blessings!
