Christian Education

We believe that education shapes the way children are formed. This can be formed in the way of the world, or the way of Jesus. That is why our faith is the foundation of everything we do at Torrens Valley Christian School.

We believe in the power of a Christ-centred education, where students can grow in their faith and develop their talents to serve the Lord.

For this to happen, we employ only Christian educators who understand teaching through a biblical worldview and who passionately craft their curriculum to instil servant leadership, compassion, respect, and responsibility in our students. This fosters a sense of purpose and positively impacts the world. Students are nurtured to develop a distinctly Christian worldview, rooted in the teachings of the Bible, so they can grow in their personal understanding of God and build a strong relationship with Him.

Our Christ-centred approach is integrated into all subjects, ensuring that students are not only equipped with the necessary knowledge and skills but also the values and character needed to thrive in a rapidly changing world.

What does this sort of education look like?

  • We don’t separate chapel and religious subjects from the rest of learning — every subject is taught through a distinctly Christian perspective.

  • Every staff member is a committed Christian and shapes lessons, relationships, and even policies in ways that honour God.

  • Students are supported, encouraged, taught, and prayed for as they grow in faith and character.

  • Daily devotions, including prayer, Bible reading, and discussion, are our daily rhythm.

  • Discipline is carried out in love using the Loving Our Students On Purpose framework, always seeking restoration and growth.

  • Each child is known as an individual, created in God’s image, with opportunities to flourish in their unique gifts and interests.

  • Students are not sheltered from the world but are equipped to engage with society through a biblical lens.
